In order to increase the number of articles you produce, you need to sit
down, work out what you want to write about, do some research and
write. If you want to write a lot of articles quickly, it helps if you
stick to topics that are familiar to you, because then the words will
flow a lot easier. You won’t have to spend as much time on research and
can instead focus on writing articles that interest you. Clearly, it is
easier to stay focused on your writing when you know about and enjoy a
given topic; plus you should be able to get a number of articles from
it.
If you are stuck writing articles about something you find completely
boring and know very little about, you obviously have to spend more time
reading about the topic and putting an article together. It will end up
taking you longer to come up with the finished article, because you
perhaps don’t feel confident in your knowledge and have to keep checking
through what you’ve written. Thus, to increase article production you
really need to find topics that you find easy to write about and do
enough research to ensure you can get a number of articles written on a
particular subject.
You might be tempted to take short-cuts, by creating very short articles
or not bothering to read or edit your articles before posting them, but
if you want to build up a loyal following you need to ensure the
articles you’re putting out there are actually worth reading. If you
cobble together an ill-thought out article which is full of spelling
mistakes and grammatical errors, how likely is it that a reader is going
to seek out any of your other articles? Although you might be able to
create a lot of 100 word articles, is it really worth it when you want
your name to be associated with high-quality work?
You therefore have to concentrate on making your articles worth clicking
on. This means putting in the time and effort into making them
entertaining, educational or amusing. It may be the case that the more
articles you have, the greater your earnings, but if your articles are
of poor quality, they are unlikely to attract readers organically. Plus,
if you write for a content site, you may find that your articles are
removed, anyway, which is why it is preferable to concentrate on writing
decent articles in the first place, even though it might take longer
for you to create a large portfolio of work.
